To guarantee absolutely perfect and flawless processing and roasting, Matteo Trucillo personally oversees the process. These varieties are particularly close to the founder's heart.
The raw beans for this blend come from Central Asia. &South America and Asia. From each batch, the best beans are selected, refined by variety, and finally blended into this exquisite blend. The roasting process is gentle and slow in a drum roaster. Roasting by variety is so important because each bean variety has its own characteristics and requirements. Separate roasting prevents large green coffee beans from being under-roasted while small, delicate peanuts are already burnt. At Trucillo, this effort is well worth it. After all, customers shouldn't just receive a "good" product, but an excellent one. In 2020, the roastery celebrated its 70th anniversary. Long-standing partnerships with trusted green coffee traders guarantee consistently impeccable quality. This has always been Caffè Trucillo's highest priority.
The result of this meticulous and passionate work is ultimately reflected in the cup. The Gran Bar is defined by its perfect blend of Arabica and Robusta beans. A full, slightly fruity aroma from the Arabicas and an intense richness from the Robustas. An espresso couldn't be more harmonious. On the palate, delicious notes of honey, chocolate, and roasted almonds unfold. The Robusta component ensures a fine-pored, hazelnut-brown crema that lasts exceptionally long. Every sip tastes simply heavenly, and best of all – the pleasant aftertaste lingers on the palate. A truly textbook example of indulgence.
