Mondicaffè - Giubileo EM
1000g whole espresso beans
80% Arabica beans | 20% Robusta beans
This espresso coffee has been a favorite of a friend of ours for many years. Toni Ardente (owner of the espresso bar La Favorita in Hamburg) introduced us to Mondicaffè and immediately won us over.
The Giubileo EM from Mondicaffè is an expressive cuvée of four single origins - all sourced directly from small plantations by Franco Mondi and all exceptionally good.
These varieties are used for Mondicaffè EM Giubileo:
Ethiopia: Sidamo g. 2 | SA Bagersh PLC
Brazil: Fazenda Samanbaia | Campos dos Vertentes
Costa Rica: Turrialba | Finca Santa Rosa
India: Chickmagalur | Badra estate Parchment PB
Aromas
The sensual bouquet reveals cocoa beans, dark chocolate, elegant almond nuances, and a delicate hint of caramel. On the palate, it is powerful and dense, with a wonderfully balanced ratio of fruit and toasted bread aromas.
Roasting
The beans are first roasted slowly and gently, one variety at a time, at temperatures between 200 and 220 degrees Celsius, before being blended into a balanced mix. This individual roasting process ensures optimal flavor. The result is a very compact, creamy texture with hazelnut-brown streaks.
Excellent in both fully automatic coffee machines and portafilter machines.
Passion, love and the high standards applied to every step of production are clearly noticeable in the cup.

Mondicaffè is CSC (Caffè Speciali Certificati) certified. The association was founded in Livorno in 1996, and Mondicaffè is even one of its founding members. The certification guarantees the high quality standards of the coffees. The testing criteria encompass all processes involved in producing premium coffee (harvesting, processing of the green coffee beans, transport, storage, and roasting). Thanks to ISO certification at every stage of production, customers can rely on a product of the highest quality.
