The blend in these coffee pods is composed of Arabica and Robusta beans, exclusively from Central America and South Asia. The coffee is sourced from plantations in these regions, which are part of a network of established farms. 100% organic and fair trade coffee Alps Coffee is grown and roasted at the Torrefazione caffè Schreyögg in South Tyrol.

The only method recognized as organic is used to decaffeinate this coffee. Carbon dioxide processThis process is one of the most elaborate yet effective decaffeination methods for preserving the full aroma of the coffee. No chemicals are used. The raw coffee beans are first prepared in a pressure chamber with steam. They are then rinsed with supercritical liquid CO2. The carbon dioxide produced by the combination of CO2 and water dissolves the caffeine in the beans. During drying, the CO2 evaporates completely, leaving only the pure beans.

Once the beans are completely dried, they are roasted gently, like regular beans, separately according to variety. This process creates a A well-rounded espresso experience with a medium body., which you wouldn't believe is a decaffeinated espresso. And this coffee is also particularly low in acidity.
