GEPA Organic Chocolate - Grand Chocolat Earl Grey Blanc
Earl Grey is arguably one of the world's most famous teas. This black tea blend gets its aroma from the fragrant oil of the bergamot fruit. This hint of a culinary delicacy from the Far East enhances the white chocolate, lending it a slightly tart freshness. The black tea for this creation comes from Gepa's partner SOFA in Sri Lanka.
The chocolate owes its creamy melt to pure cocoa butter. The cocoa for this is sourced from the CECAQ-11 cooperative, a smallholder farmers' association on the island of São Tomé in Central Africa. Because the cocoa beans are processed directly on-site, Fair Trade can have an even greater impact on the island.
